Primary registration has closed but walk-in registration will be available up to the competitor limit. I have already had people email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I've already put them/their children into a heat. Just email me with your/your child's name and which events they would like to compete in. That way I can put them into a heat and they can compete. We only accept cash payments at the moment, but there is a bank with an ATM near the venue.
You can also walk into the competition and give me your name there, but it would be better to email me so that you have a for sure spot. Thanks!

It is encouraged that you compete if you know how to solve a Rubik's Cube, regardless of your speed. Remember, nobody is too slow to compete, so you should give it a shot!
It is reccomended that you familiarize yourself with the World Cube Association Regulations, so you know exactly how competitions will function. Here are some good regulations to always know:
You will complete five solves. The average will consist of your three middle times, throwing out the worst time and the best time. If you recieve a DNF penalty, that is automatically your worst time. If you recieve two or more DNFs, that is a DNF average.
"Cutoff" and "Time Limit"
Cutoff: If you do not complete one of your first two solves within the cutoff, you may not finish your average. If you do not make the cutoff the first time, you still have another solve to try to beat the cutoff.
Time Limit: If you go past the time limit, the judge must stop the attempt immediately. Your solve is a DNF.
* If your puzzle is off by one turn by 45 degrees or more, it will result in adding two seconds onto your time. Judges, if you have to judge a +2, you write it as follows
EX: The competitor gets a 12.56 second solve, but his cube is off by a 45 degree or more turn. You write on his scorecard: 12.56+2=14.56. If the turn is off by a 180 degree turn, it is still a +2 because it is only considered one outer face turn. Being off by a middle slice is a DNF, because it takes two outer face turns.
* If your puzzle is unsolved past the point of a +2, or off by a middle layer, the solve is a DNF. That stands for "Did Not Finish." Judges should mark a +2 as follows
EX: The competitor gets a 12.56 second solve, but his cube is off by two outer face turns. You write on his scorecard: DNF(12.56), or simply, DNF.
Again, these are not all of the WCA Regulations, and it is encouraged that you read all of them and abide by these rules so that you do not have any penalties.
Please remember that there will be a new competitor tutorial display before any of the major events begin. If you aren't comfortable with using the StackMat timer before you go up to solve, ask your judge to let you try it out a couple of times!

- Jedrick Remonde will be vending puzzles at the competition!
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
